SUMMARY
The category of spatial grammar, that is used by Chakrabarti et_al, comes from the research of Krishnamurti and Stouffs and is not directly linked to the underlying representation but is used for grammars that define languages of spatial forms (Krishnamurti and Stouffs, 1993). Spatial grammars may use strings, sets, graphs, or shapes as underlying representation (Krishnamurti and Stouffs, 1993; Chakrabarti et_al, 2011).
