    Resveratrol (3,5,4-trihydroxy-trans-stilbene) is a natural compound present in different agricultural and food products (e_g, peanuts, grapes, red wine) endowed with multiple pharmacological properties such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, cardiovascular, neuroprotective, chemo-preventive, antiviral and anti-aging activities.
