In the following, the authors provide an overview of emotions and how to induce them, elaborate on evidence for relationships between emotions and VIMS, and describe the aims of the present study. Categorical approaches divide emotions into groups or classes of distinct emotions (e_g, Cowen and Keltner 2017; Ekman 1972; Panksepp 1998).
