SUMMARY

    This study covers Muslim economic thoughts since the emergence of Islam, long before the economy became a separate discipline with a unique analytical tool. Detailed consideration was given to Islamic economic thoughts during the Umayyad and Abbasid dynasties, periods of administrative and economic reform, and many recent developments under the Ottoman, Safawid, and Moghul governments.
