    IGFBPs are cysteine-rich proteins with high essential_amino_acid sequence similarity. Based on amino_acid similarity analysis, IGFBP1 is more closely related to IGFBP2 than to IGFBP3, which in turn is more closely associated with IGFBP5. ClustalW (protein sequence alignment tool) was used to align the amino_acid sequences of IGFBP from cattle, buffalo, goats, and sheep. The ProtParam was used to describe physical and chemical characteristics of IGFBP proteins, such as molecular weight (MW), amino_acid number, isoelectric_point (pI), aliphatic index (AI), instability index (II), and grand average of hydropathicity (GRAVY) as described, previously.
