Vocal attractiveness matters: social preferences in cooperative behavior

    Some studies have found that facial attractiveness ratings are positively correlated with vocal attractiveness ratings (Saxton et_al, 2009; Hughes and Miller, 2016). Trust is one of the most important benefits, which is related to facial attractiveness (Póvoa et_al, 2020). In a trust game, trustors gave more money to female trustees who wore makeup to increase their facial attractiveness (Póvoa et_al, 2020). Previous studies have shown that lower-pitched male voices are more attractive (Collins, 2000; Feinberg et_al, 2005; Jones et_al, 2010; Re et_al, 2012), and higher-pitched female voices are more attractive . . .
