    Infertility is a disease of the male or female reproductive system defined by the inability to establish a clinical pregnancy after 12 months or more of regular unprotected sexual intercourse. Various microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, and protozoa, can infect the male reproductive tract and impair fertility. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has been detected in human semen, raising concerns about the potential impact of this new coronavirus on male fertility. In semen, viruses can infect sperm or sperm precursor cells, attach to molecules on the outside of sperm, present themselves . . .
