SUMMARY
The effect of tooth brushing on gingival blood flow has been a topic of interest for researchers, being studied in both animals and human subjects. A statistical/null hypothesis was for- 3 of 14 mulated that there are no statistically significant differences between gingival blood flow recorded before changing the toothbrush and that recorded after using a new toothbrush. Tangade et_al showed that the use of new toothbrushes leads decreases plaque index and improves gingival indices, while Asadoorian et_al said that new toothbrushes lead to a decrease in plaque index but worn toothbrushes lead . . .
