Specifically, the motivation for linking scores from paediatric and adult instruments was to make them comparable on a common scale, allowing the study of the QoL developmental trajectory continuously and permitting the analysis with mixed models. The authors evaluated the viability of linking physical functioning scores of two paediatric PRO questionnaires (the PedsQL and the PEDQOL) to the EORTC QLQ-C30) in a population of survivors of childhood osteosarcoma.
