Strategies to identify patients who do not require further investigation are urgently required to alleviate pressure on breast cancer clinics. The PinPoint test can be undertaken around the time of referral, providing utility for two main use-cases: (A) as a rule-out test for patients with very low risk of cancer (i.e. avoiding secondary care referrals in this group); and_(B) as a tool to prioritise high risk patients (i.e. fast-tracking referrals for these patients).
