SUMMARY
Unilateral and bilateral lower body strength or power asymmetries have been investigated in young elite athletes, female soccer players, and soccer goalkeepers. More specifically, research has indicated that as the strength asymmetry between the agonist and antagonist (knee extensors and flexors) increases, kicking inaccuracy also increases, as has been detected in soccer players.
