    The metabolic profiles consisted of 250 metabolites that were measured by the Nightingale platform, including routine lipids, extensive lipoprotein subclasses, fatty_acid composition, and various low-molecular metabolites, including amino_acids, ketone_bodies, and gluconeogenesis-related metabolites. The questionnaire on shift work was designed to cover the major characteristics of shift work: current shift work status, frequency of night shifts (on average per month), and duration of night shift work in years. Participants were only included if a plasma sample was available, and night shift workers were included they worked least 2 per nights per during month . . .
