SUMMARY
Anoth- er T lymphocyte population, the CD8+CD122+ T_cell, is critical in regulating immune_responses in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, including experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis and colitis. Although acute brain injury sets many inflammatory cascades in motion, the function of CD8+CD122+ T_cells in ischemic stroke is uncharted territory.
