Physical therapists (PTs), specifically, are at an increased risk for developing work-related upper limb disorders (WRULDs) due to the physically intensive and constant hands-on nature of the profession. The search terms used were various combinations of key words and phrases including work-related musculoskeletal disorders, upper limb disorders, occupational injuries, physical therapists, prevalence, incidence, risk factors, and prevention.
