HIGHLIGHTS
- who: J. Harlaar from the DeptBiomechanical Engineering, Delft University of Technology, Delft, the Netherlands have published the research: Osteoarthritis year in review 2021: mechanics, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)
- what: For this Year in Review, the authors conducted a narrative review of evidence published in the past year to highlight key new findings relating to mechanics and OA. This study shows that higher loads predict future cartilage damage, but also that machine_learning may facilitate less invasive and more accurate methods for acquiring biomechanical measures that relate to cartilage degeneration.
