- who: Cristina Lorenzo from the University Hospital have published the article: Battery Ingestion in Children, an Ongoing Challenge: Recent Experience of a Tertiary Center, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)
- what: The authors also reported a growing incidence of battery ingestions in the last 6 years. In the study , the median age was 26 months, similar to what is reported in other series , and 75% of children were younger than 5 years. In these patients, the main reason for going to the ED was fever (100%).
