    OTs are healthcare professionals who support individuals experiencing disorders, diseases, illnesses, and injuries through occupational engagement-the participation in meaningful activities of daily living which promote physical and mental wellness. Through this narrative review, authors describe the role and benefit of including occupational therapy within ED treatment while offering personal insight from an individual with lived experience.
