    A US study on the physical activity patterns of CVD patients from two large cities confirmed a decline in physical activity during the first lockdown in spring 2020, which did not fully recover until October 2020. Most study participants reported that they were able to maintain or even improve their physical activity level during the waves of the pandemic. Third, the authors outline determinants that may influence physical activity patterns as well as compensation strategies to restore physical activity levels throughout the pandemic.
