The identification of the fatty_acids was made by comparing the relative retention times of FAME peaks from samples with standards. Were recorded and expressed as the relative percentage of each fatty_acid. The most abundant fatty_acids in the basidiocarps of L piperatus from Portugal was stearic acid, followed by linoleic and oleic acids.
