    The pre-cleaned carbonate rock samples, either saturated, centrifuged, or dry, are placed in the THz beam of intensity I0. At each ij position, the intensity, Iij, of the THz beam after passing through the sample is recorded to produce an attenuation map (Fig 1a). Similarly, comparing the saturated versus centrifuged | Vol:(1234567890) 12:18018 | attenuation maps (Fig 3f), the authors find the regions . . .
