SUMMARY

    An estimated 9.5 million Chinese adults aged 60 years and older had dementia in 2015, accounting for roughly a quarter of the entire population with dementia worldwide. Previous studies have found that in China, only around 10% of older people with dementia have a clinical diagnosis, leaving the care needs of a substantial number of families impacted by dementia invisible.
