Neuropsychological predictors of fatigue in post-covid syndrome

HIGHLIGHTS

SUMMARY

One of the most widely used scales is the Modified Fatigue Impact Scale (MFIS), which includes a multidimensional assessment of physical, cognitive, and psychosocial aspects of fatigue. From the perspective of cognitive neuroscience, PCS represents a new opportunity to evaluate the relationship between fatigue and cognitive function, and the neural underpinnings of cognitive fatigue. Patients were divided into 2 subsets, with 80% of the sample used to train the machine_learning models and 20% to test the results. The authors trained multiple machine_learning algorithms, including (a) random forest, (b) K-nearest neighbors, (c) support vector . . .
