SUMMARY
Currently, devices based on Placido-disc, HartmannShack, ray tracing, or Scheimpflug are routinely used in clinical aberration measurement, of which Pentacam and KR-1W are two common instruments. Regarding the corneal aberrations, the KR-1W can only be used to assess aberrations in the anterior corneal surface because of a Placido-disc nature. Previous studies have compared the differences between Pentacam, Galilei, OPD scan, iDesign, iTrace system, and KR-1W in the measurement of aberrations.
