- what: The authors analyzed coagulation function and found a decrease in thrombin time but an increase in fibrinogen level prothrombin time and activated partial thromboplastin time in COVID-19 patients.
- how: Showed that increased LL-37 was correlated with COVID-19-related coagulation dysfunction. The authors showed that LL-37 induced hypercoagulability through enhancement of coagulation factor activity.
