Toxicology characterizes toxic compounds, studies how they act on organisms, and assesses the associated risks. Of 14 0.5 µg/L fipronil-exposed group (Fip 0.5), and a 1 µg/L fipronil-exposed group (Fip 1). The fipronil solutions used to prepare the Fip 0.5 and Fip 1 sucrose solutions were also analyzed with the same SPME-GC-MS method to determine whether any of the discriminating VOCs originated from the exposure solution (exogenous compounds).
