Systematic literature review of domain-oriented specification techniques

SUMMARY

    Most methods related to domain modeling focus on the structural (state) properties of a domain, e_g, Strembeck and Zdun, Frank, Arora et_al, Zhang et_al, Purao et_al, Grant, Grant et_al, Clark et_al, Ibrahim and Ahmad and France et_al. A specification method should offer multiple mechanisms, e_g, composition, consistency, transformation, or weaving, to integrate DMs or DSLs, and domain-based specifications. In such case, a method guideline can be given to identify sub processes in a set of process models, e_g, "Define a separate process for those sequences of process steps that occur in multiple processes . . .
