SUMMARY
The pristine cutin-derived fatty_acid and its derivatives were then characterized, and their plasticizing effect was analyzed. This work, therefore, can pave the way for the use of cutin fatty_acid derivatives as bio-based plasticizers for other bioplastics. The dispersive, polar, and hydrogen_bonding solubility parameter components (δd, δp, δh ) were calculated using Equations -(5) for all the molecules 1-4, using the dispersion components Fdi and the polar components Fpi of the molar attraction constant as well as the hydrogen_bonding energies Ehi for each functional_group i.
