SUMMARY
Skin BT treatments were simulated and delivered on a phantom with a catheterbased custom flap applicator, and comparisons between measured and calculated dose distributions were made. The authors did not observe any correlation between the measured dose discrepancy and the source-to-detector distance, although it seems clear that, because of the steep dose gradient and the volume averaging effect in proximity of the source, TLDs are not an accurate tool to perform measurements when they are placed very close to an isolated dwell position. The method is applicable for QA in multi-catheter . . .
