Temporins: multifunctional peptides from frog skin

    The sequences of these peptides are different in different amphibians, and the abundance of amino_acids seems to be related to the geographical location of the amphibians. Temporins are short peptides (8-17 amino_acids long), showing broad spectrum activity against several microorganisms harmful for human health.
