SUMMARY
Contrary to this assumption, decades-old research from psychology provided evidence for the functional independence of the approach-related behavior, executive function and negative emotionality domains. Through literature searches (PubMed, Google Scholar), the authors have identified over 120 published studies that have subtyped 2 individuals with SUDs using symptom scales (e_g, AUDIT, ASI, AUDADIS-IV, SSADDA, DSM-IV, ICD-101).
