SUMMARY
To date, more than 12 billion doses of vaccine have been administered worldwide, representing 68% of the world`s population having received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Despite varying rates of vaccine hesitancy, about 30% of studies in Africa on COVID-19 vaccination reported higher than 50% hesitancy rate, and nearly half of the studies reported vaccine hesitancy of 30% or more in high-income countries.
