SUMMARY

    Usually, viral genes pass through the cell membrane to reach the cytoplasmic region in a capsid-protected form, via intracytoplasmic RanGTP and other proteins are transported along microtubules (MTs) near the nuclear membrane and cross the nuclear membrane for progeny virus replication. The viral capsid enters the nucleus through the nuclear pore complex (NPC). The complex basket structure embedded in the inner and outer nuclear membranes mainly comprised the cytoplasmic ring, nucleoplasmic ring, nuclear basket, and other structures. A novel paradigm proposed that importin-beta (impβ) alone mediates viral capsid passage through the nuclear . . .
