Regarding this issue, UNESCO and IUCN did not remain indifferent to the possible negative effects of tourism on natural areas and included them in their reports. Accordingly, in the World Heritage Convention tourist development projects and tourism and recreation areas are listed as possible risks in the protection of heritage sites (WHC 2021).
