SUMMARY
The concept of "microbiome-gut-brain axis" has garnered growing attention and addresses complex bidirectional interactions between brain and gut. Previous bibliometric manuscripts have explored associations between gut microbiota and Parkinson`s disease, associations between the gut-brain axis and depression, and the microbiome-gut-brain axis. This study examined characteristics of relevant research on the microbiome-gut-brain axis and dementia from a bibliometric perspective.
