Meta-qtl and haplo-pheno analysis reveal superior haplotype combinations associated with low grain chalkiness under high temperature in rice

HIGHLIGHTS

SUMMARY

The obtained genes were then compared with the rice grain chalkiness expression datasets from five microarray-based studies (Yamakawa et_al, 2007; Yamakawa and Hakata, 2010; Liu et_al, 2010b; Ishimaru et_al, 2019; Bakku et_al, 2020) and one RNA-seq study (Lin et_al, 2017). Consequently, vin2 and vin3 mutations lead to decreased seed size and shorter and lighter panicles (Morey et_al, 2018; Lee et_al, 2019; Morey et_al, 2019; Xu et_al, 2019; Deng et_al, 2020). The authors also discovered b-amylase, another starch hydrolyzing enzyme of amylase family, as a candidate gene from MQTL 3.1. GBSSI . . .
