Indeed, the rationale for transplanting stem_cells has been already established in small and large animal models. Although intrathecal injection is a routine clinical procedure with a low rate of complications, and numerous stem_cell delivery studies (both pre-clinical and clinical) strengthened the feasibility of this route, there are still some bottlenecks that hamper the development of this technique.
