SUMMARY
Acute gastroenteritis is a very common paediatric illness and remains a significant cause of childhood morbidity and mortality worldwide. Viral and epidemiologic data from hospital records would be useful to help explain the reasons leading to the hospitalization 2 of 11 of children who suffer VAGE.
