SUMMARY
The novel concept of shade design used in this study comes from a shade structure that optimizes maximum availability and displacement of shade within pens, blockage against solar radiation, resilience to weather adverse conditions, and ease of daily management operations. The uncertainty on the economic return of shade implementation may therefore explain why beef producers are still reluctant on to the idea of providing artificial shades, e_g, and amp;lt;20% of feedlot in Brazil and the authors provide artificial shades.
