Systematic alignment analysis of neural transplant cells in electrospun nanofibre scaffolds

SUMMARY

    Advanced tissueengineered scaffolds provide a platform to achieve such a therapy by their ability to mediate multiple reparative processes, such as, (i) stem_cell incorporation and protection to improve transplantation survival, (ii) chemical enhancement of growth and modulation of inhibitory pathological processes and_(iii) provision of the physicochemical environment needed for regenerating tissue (e_g, alignment and extracellular matrix cues). The potential to engineer pre-aligned, stem_cell implants has also been demonstrated.
