    In March 2020, the WHO declared the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) infection a pandemic. The authors started with the hypothesis that in Romania the prevalence of anxiety and depression increased in the adult population during the COVID-19 pandemic. The authors conducted an anonymous, web-based cross-sectional survey on anxiety and depression among Romanian adult Internet users.
