SUMMARY
Changes in lifestyle and eating habits are important, including controlling caloric intake and the intake of saturated fat, cholesterol, salt, and sugar. This study aimed to assess the relationship between dietary components, biochemical markers, and anthropometric variables in women with MetS. The hypothesis was that adequate dietary intake would be associated with better biochemical profile and anthropometric markers. This information could help understanding the relationship between high fiber intake and reduction in many pathologies, including metabolic diseases.
