Quantum affective processes for multidimensional decision-making

HIGHLIGHTS

SUMMARY

In earlier work on affective processing, Hoorn et_al discerned a feature-encoding phase, a comparison phase, and a response phase, using fuzzy logic to represent a robot`s response (Fig 1)1. For processes involving generalized controlled-NOT operations only, uncomputation is performed after the logic evaluation so that the ancilla qubits can be recycled. The controlled rotation is analogous to the rule strength in fuzzy logic in the sense that the state of the control qubit determines the expectation of the measurement outcome, corresponding to the output value of fuzzy logic.
