- what: Specifically the studies have revealed the presence of two classes of muscles in the myotomes. The studies showed that the lipid droplets were present only in those muscles which expressed a slow MyHC, whereas no lipid droplets were observed in the fast MyHC-positive fibres (Fig 2c, d).
