HIGHLIGHTS
- who: August et al. from the Institute of Terrestrial Magnetism Propagation (RAS), Russia Boston University, United States have published the Article: Prediction of plasmaspheric hiss spectral classes, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)
- what: The authors show that low- and regular-frequency hiss have different spatial distributions, which is in agreement with results from Malaspina et_al . The authors use RF to predict plasmaspheric hiss spectral classes by considering multiple magnetospheric, geomagnetic, and solar wind predictors, including information on the plasmapause that has been previously shown to be important in characterizing plasmaspheric hiss (Malaspina et_al, 2017).
