SUMMARY

    As a result, the area with moderate to low elevations was highly susceptible to flooding, whereas the area with high elevations was less vulnerable to flooding in the Wabi Shebele Sub-basin. According to the flood risk map (Fig 9), the study area was subjected to have very high 527.31 ­km2 (9.42%), high 2133.66 ­km2 (38.12%), moderate 1906.44 ­km2 (34.06%), low 847.35 ­km2 (15.14%), and very low 182.54 ­km2 (3.26%) flood risk, respectively.
