Excited states from range-separated density-functional perturbation theory

HIGHLIGHTS

  • who: Excitation energies and collaborators from the , France have published the research work: Excited states from range-separated density-functional perturbation theory, in the Journal: (JOURNAL) of January/16,/2015
  • what: In this approach, the zeroth-order approximation to the exact excitation energies is provided by KS orbital energy differences (which, for accurate KS potentials, is known to be already a fairly good approximation ). In spite of promising early results, this approach has not been pursued further, perhaps because it can be considered an approximation to TDDFT . The authors explore further this density-functional perturbation . . .
