Multiple activation states of integrin α4β1 detected through their different affinities for a small molecule ligand *

HIGHLIGHTS

  • who: Ling Ling Chen from the (UNIVERSITY) have published the research work: Multiple Activation States of Integrin α4β1 Detected through Their Different Affinities for a Small Molecule Ligand *, in the Journal: (JOURNAL) of January/26,/1999
  • what: To understand better the role metal ions have on activation, the authors performed the study shown in Fig 4, where binding was tested as a function of changing Mg21 concentrations. In the studies shown in Fig 1A, the authors observed that increasing the Ca21 concentration from 1 to 10 mM slightly stimulated BIO1211 binding.
