  • who: Lindegren L. et al. from the (UNIVERSITY) have published the Article: Gaia Data Release 1 - Astrometry: one billion positions, two million proper motions and parallaxes, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)
  • how: The basic astrometric model is described in Sect 3.2 of the AGIS paper and assumes uniform space motion relative to the solarsystem barycentre. The results were compared with independent external data such as astrometric parameters from the Hipparcos catalogue and expected results for specific astrophysical objects (quasars cepheids etc.).
