- what: The authors show a method to perform time-controlled enzymatic assays in droplet microfluidics by coupling the enzymes via a biotin-streptavidin covalent binding to microbeads which then can be separated from the product of the enzymatic reaction using acoustophoresis. The authors demonstrate the ability to stop the chemical reaction by removing the enzymecoupled beads and perform readout on the supernatant in the droplets, off-chip . . .
