HIGHLIGHTS
- who: Maria Letizia Trincavelli 1 and colleagues from the Department of Pharmacy, University of Pisa, Pisa, Italy have published the article: Regulation of Erythropoietin Receptor Activity in Endothelial Cells by Different Erythropoietin (EPO) Derivatives:, in the Journal: (JOURNAL)
- what: The authors investigated the effects of different epoetin derivatives, epoetin alpha (EPOα), darbepoetin (DarbEPO) and continuous EPOR activator (CERA), on EPOR desensitization and signaling resensitization. The authors demonstrate for the first time that three structurally different EPOR agonists, DarbEPO, EPOα and CERA, regulate the functional response of EPORs over time in different ways.
